Profile:

Owner-Operator:  Trevor Hicks, has worked as a qualified cabinetmaker since his apprenticeship in 1983. Trevor has worked closely with architects and interior decorators in the manufacture and installation of custom-built commercial and home furniture, including hotel fitouts, reception desks and workstations, shopfitting and also freestanding furniture such as boardroom tables and chairs.  His work also includes custom-made furniture for the private householder, involving quality custombuilt and designed kitchens, wardrobes, linen presses, laundry cabinets and also solid timber antique replicas and restoration.

Trevor is an experienced tradesman, fully qualified in three trades - Cabinetmaking, Carriage and Wagonmaking and Automotive Body Building. He received the PMC Award for automotive bodybuilding in 1985.  This was for topping the State for that year of graduating apprentices. Trevor has also undertaken extensive further studies including advanced cabinetmaking, woodturning, furniture upholstery and computer assisted drafting and design.

Over the years, many clients have commented on the need to have the service and quality given in the manufacture of their furniture, to be made available in other areas of their property, for maintenance and improvement. Class Cabinets and Maintenance has endeavoured to fill this need.

Trevor's diverse background has allowed him to provide a quality service not only on new home furniture improvements, but also for the existing built-in furniture repairs and renovations (such as kitchen benchtop and door replacement), property timberwork repairs and improvements, and antique furniture restorations.

With extensive contacts in other trades such as tiling, plumbing and electrical, Trevor can provide a complete service, ensuring peace of mind for the property owner.

Trevor and his wife Susie registered the business name of "Class Cabinets and Maintenance" in October 1997 and began trading full time to cope with the demand for his services. Class Cabinets and Maintenance Pty Ltd became a registered company in May 2008.  Trevor and Susie have been successfully operating under this business name since then.

Class Cabinets & Maintenance Pty Ltd provide a written quotation outlining all work that will be undertaken and offers an accurate time for installation and completion.  Every effort is made to complete every contract with a minimum of disruption and complete peace of mind for the customer.
